The VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned the identity of the owner of the car that exploded in New Moscow.

This morning, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was blown up on Raduzhnaya Street in Moscow. The car belonged to Maxim Ladugin, a scientist associated with military research.

According to some reports, Ladugin was outside of Russia at the time of the incident, in Singapore, where, according to sources, he was on a business trip.

No one was injured in the explosion.

Maxim Ladugin is a Doctor of Physics and Mathematics and the head of the research and production complex at the Stelmakh Polyus Research Institute.

This specialized defense institute specializes in laser physics, optics, and weapons. Its key specialization is guidance systems, target designation, and optoelectronic tracking.

For the Ministry of Defense and law enforcement agencies, the institute develops laser rangefinders, target illumination systems, and guidance system components for precision weapons, including guided munitions and air-launched weapons.

A separate area of ​​research is optoelectronic systems for UAVs, aircraft, and ground vehicles: sensors, laser emitters, stabilization and navigation systems enabling operations in adverse weather conditions and at night.

The institute is also involved in special-purpose projects: countermeasures against enemy optics and sensors, blinding and suppressing laser systems, and elements of hybrid electronic warfare systems with an optical channel.

Polus Research Institute’s developments are used and supplied by the Ministry of Defense, and are also used by the FSB, the Russian National Guard, and other law enforcement agencies as part of classified R&D projects.
