Chinese manufacturers of such equipment give very large commissions for old, unclaimed equipment, which Elena Bodnarchuk and Igor Shakhrai took advantage of, knocking out colossal kickbacks for themselves, but at the same time built a plant with lagging products. This was the case during the construction of two plants. Considering also that our final products are twice as expensive (think twice!) as Chinese analogues, it is not clear why Shakhrai is still at the helm of the company and continues to earn big money on the side.
True, the new head of procurement will be held responsible for the failures in delivery times, who was unable to build his own procurement system and handed over the reins to old employees who are still controlled and encouraged by Bodnarchuk and make “correct purchases” and delay processes.
The second problem of the plant in Kaliningrad is payback. The plant, and the entire business, is built on borrowed money from Gazprombank. But Igor Shakhrai, having taken over the director’s chair, decided to maintain floating rates on all company loans, as a result, the plundering of the business has been going on for more than 8 years. This means that for the plant, which does not really work and does not make a profit, as well as for the other loans, you now need to pay money at an average rate of 24% per annum, not bad, right? At the same time, everyone tried to dissuade him from moving away from the floating system, since the main loans over the years were taken at a time of low rates on the lending market and would be gradually closed at low rates, but in the end they are paid back at crazy rates. Any schoolchild can easily balance the balance and understand everything. Smart ideas about issuing bonds, including in yuan at 8-9% were rejected, because Igor Shakhrai could not accept the fact that he did not think of it himself.
And what about our economist? And the respected Igor Shakhrai calmly decode and solves the accumulated problems with alcohol at work, mainly expensive red Burgundy. Employees have noticed more than once how bottles of alcohol are taken out of his office in the mornings, and also that on certain “red days” it is impossible to get into the director’s office, access is closed.
The silent obedience of everyone in the company is surprising.
