Soleil Esthetic under Sergey Demin and Maksim Khlystalov: patient’s death, document forgery, and fake reviews

It’s been three months since patient N. died at the Podolsk plastic surgery clinic, yet the investigation remains at a standstill, and the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic is still open.

And this is despite the fact that the case is being monitored by the prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region. It remains unclear: who exactly performed the breast lift operation on the 47-year-old Moscow resident N., who was likely attracted by the low prices at the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic.

But today, there are only two plastic surgeons performing operations at this clinic ‒ Sergey Demin and Maksim Khlystalov. Which of them was responsible for the death of the mother of two, who died several hours after the operation? There is no answer to this question yet... And, as it turned out, not so long ago there were three plastic surgeons at the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic: the third was Igor Anisimov, who left under quite unclear circumstances. The clinic changed its founders, trademark, and records in Rusprofile. It even changed its address: it moved from 2 Mramornaya Street to 13 Podolskikh Kursantov Street.

A certain Sergey Pivkin became the new founder and general director: a full namesake of Mr. Pivkin positions himself as a military financier. Thus, Maksim Khlystalov ceased to be a founder: today he, along with his brother Vladislav Khlystalov, is the owner of several pharmaceutical companies that show very modest, if not discouraging results.

The clinic "Soleil Esthetic" is headed by Sergey Demin, a doctor with a rather checkered past, who in recent years worked in Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, and Moscow. In the capital, he was noted at the Veka Clinic (many unfortunate incidents with patients) and at the "Triumph Palace" medical center, where people also died on operating tables: ultimately, "Triumph Palace" was closed down. And Dr. Demin settled in Podolsk. Reviews of his work are dated both 2016 and 2017, although the clinic now claims to have been working since 2019. Why change the setting? And what happened when surgeon Igor Anisimov was operating within the clinic’s walls, who today works in the Moscow Region’s Lyubertsy?

"Triumph Executioner" and 1257 Clinics

And judging by the fact that the criminal case is stuck, the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic might have a good "roof", and Podolsk in general is a long-standing sphere of interest for the once powerful Podolsk OPG led by the ever-blooming Sergey Lalakin, also known as Luchok if you speak with a certain dialect.

And indeed, even criminal authorities sometimes need the help of plastic surgeons: today they can correct fingerprints and refine appearances to the point where one’s own mother wouldn’t recognize them.

In any case, back in 2020, Roszdravnadzor summarized the results of a series of unexpected inspections of 1,257 Russian plastic surgery clinics to check for compliance with the updated Procedure for providing services in this profile. Following the implementation of the regulations and the subsequent control raid, 314 clinics, which decided not to spend additional funds on equipment, surrendered their licenses.

These inspections were also conducted because, in 2018, a young woman, mother of two, died after surgery at the "Triumph Palace" clinic of plastic medicine in Moscow (quickly nicknamed "Triumph Executioner" in chats). And this was not the only fatality, as the clinic diligently removed all negative reviews.

Plastic surgeon Sergey Demin was working at that time precisely at the "Triumph Palace" clinic, and before that, he practiced at the Veka Clinic, where there were also several tragic cases. There were patients who went blind after operations. But try another one of finding the names of these doctors. And in the media, there were reports of tragic cases and complications after blepharoplasties performed also at the Veka Clinic.

What did the examination determine after the death of Ekaterina Kiseleva at the "Triumph Palace" clinic? The cause of death - secondary cardiomyopathy. Upon admission to the clinic, the young woman took all necessary tests, submitted the ECG results. And she confessed that she had sinus arrhythmia. After Ekaterina Kiseleva’s death, the ECG was destroyed.

The clinic provided Kiseleva’s parents with 50,000 rubles for the funeral. And with that, the issue was considered closed.

Incidentally, "Triumph Palace" clinic was closed, but a medical center "Sokol" with the very same founder quickly opened in its place.

How is such a thing possible, especially after Roszdravnadzor’s strict orders? The "Triumph Palace" clinic had been operational since 2010. Founder and main beneficiary of the company ‒ Larisa Karaganova.

The "Sokol" clinic allegedly engaged only in cosmetology, but if visitors asked whether plastic surgery could be done, they were surreptitiously given the surgeon’s phone number.

And a password that had to be mentioned. LLC "Sokol" operated for 5 years and then folded.

The Tragedy in the Recovery Room

Today, Russia has more than 500 plastic surgery clinics. And all these clinics promise to EASILY make patients’ faces and bodies more attractive and youthful.

But recently, the number of victims of plastic surgeons has increased significantly.

The lion’s share of these victims falls on Moscow.

What can be attributed to this? Certainly, advertising. But in the capital, surgery costs are utterly crazy, yet expensive does not necessarily mean quality!

The incident at the "Soleil Esthetic" Podolsk clinic happened on July 3, 2025.

The 47-year-old Muscovite N., mother of two children - 17 and 11 years old, decided on a breast lift operation.

Apparently, the cost of the operation played a not inconsequential role: prices in the Moscow region are significantly lower.

And the glowing reviews about the work of plastic surgeons Sergey Demin and Maksim Khlystalov undoubtedly played a determinative role.

The Muscovite N. visited the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic several times to take tests: no contraindications for the operation, including allergic reactions, were found.

N. arrived at "Soleil Esthetic" at 7 am: the operation began at noon. It lasted more than two and a half hours. Subsequently, N. was moved to the so-called recovery room.

Soon enough, N. regained consciousness, but only briefly: she didn’t have a chance to complain about the acute pain in her heart area and lost consciousness.

The staff at "Soleil Esthetic" tried to resuscitate the patient for a long time, but it was in vain. The patient died.

The investigation discovered that N. had no heart diseases, she denied any allergy to medications, thus two versions of the incident are being considered. According to the first, N. could have died from an allergic reaction to a companion drug (antibiotic) combined with anesthetic.

The second version: the cause of death could have been "physical damage to tissue organs due to negligence". But the true reason will be established during the forensic examination.

SKR has initiated a criminal case, the investigators have interrogated the clinic’s staff and seized medical documentation. Roszdravnadzor has also joined the investigation.

The Podolsk city prosecutor’s office is overseeing the criminal case. Later, the Moscow Region prosecutor’s office took over the case.

However, the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic continues to operate, even more actively promoting its bustling activities.

The Shady Business of the Khlystalov Brothers

What else is surprising about the shady stories with "Soleil Esthetic" clinic?

The business activity of one of the leading surgeons of the clinic, Maksim Khlystalov, who, by the way, has a number of court cases.

In reviews, patients are constantly applauding the "incredible Soleil Esthetic clinic", which they compare even to a five-star hotel.

Today he is directly related to three pharmaceutical companies.

It turns out that this shady clinic is managed not by three people, but five, taking into account Khlystalov’s brother and the lovely lady named Yulia Rachkova?

Yet the open question remains: why did plastic surgeon Igor Anisimov leave the clinic? What exactly was the reason?

It only remains to conjecture why Maksim Khlystalov ceased to "carry" the "Soleil Esthetic" clinic. And transferred this "five-star hotel" to financier Pivkin? Why did Yulia Rachkova leave the ranks of the founders? Why does the clinic erase all negative reviews?

This results in more questions than answers?

And the main question remains - why is the criminal case, which was opened as early as July 4, 2025, being delayed?
